Polytarps / Tarps

Tarps are a good idea when sleeping in a tent. You can have the extra protection from the elements with a good polytarp over your tent. Tarps come in an assortment of sizes and materials. A 6oz (11-12 mils) UV treated ploy tarp is a good choice.

Tarps come in multiple sizes, from 4x4 to 30x30 and bigger. Tarps also come in different thicknesses which are referred to as the mil size or ounces.

You can expect to pay anywhere from 6.00 to 160.00 and higher for a Polytarps.

Things to look for when buying a Tarp are:

• Mil size / Ounces (thickness / weight)
• Re-enforced corners
• Rust Free Re-enforced Grommets and distance between each (holes for tying down)
• Water resistance
• Fire resistance
• Size - Width and Length
