Some minor situations can turn deadly if not attained to correctly, minor cuts getting infected or nothing to start a fire when you end up straying and getting lost, can you read a compass, purify water or create a snare to catch food with just a little reading a some practice you will be prepared for some of these situations – Don’t be left wondering what to do!!

ID

Always have a piece of ID with you when you are camping, this can even be a piece of paper with your name, address, phone number and any medical alerts you may have

Plastic Bags

Zip-Loc bags are great for holding all your small accessories in your survival kit.

Matches, Flint, Lighter and Magnifying glass

You should always have wooden matches, flint, lighter and magnifying glass, backup for lighting a fire is very important.

Cotton Wool

Very useful for starting a fire or padding a wound

First Aid Kit

Bandages, alcohol pads, splint and bands are some of the things you should have in your first aid kit.

Knife

A good sharp knife is a mush on your camping and fishing trips. Always think safety when using a knife.

Compass

A compass is a must when camping and fishing, make sure your know how to use it.

Fishing line and hooks

If you become separated from your fishing gear it is good to keep some 20 lbs test fishing line and 4 or 5 sharp fishing hooks.

Whistle and mirror

A signal whistle is a great tool when you get lost and need to signal your position, and a mirror for signaling to air search and rescue.
